G double-o d Job! Goob Job!

Hi M1!!!

Hope that all of you had a brilliant fantastic stupendous wonderful exilharating meaningful exciting lovely super happy beautiful cheerful & fun CHINGAY EXPERIENCE! (:

It's really been a [insert out of this world adjective] experience going through Chingay with you all! So let me share some reflections I posted on my blog previously.

*Start*

Being a motivator certainly isn't an easy task. Perhaps, that was why we took such a long time to warm up on Chingay Parade 1, but the show went on from there! Was really happy to see all of us soaking in the atmosphere and getting high together with the crowd especially on the 2nd night!

These are amazing friendships that have been forged over the short period of just 2 months or so, and they are friendships that I am thankful for and will treasure!Standing in one line cheering up the crowds, singing our cheers, engaging the audience, sitting down and watching the performances, rushing to the VIP carpark, sending off the guests and running around with our Happy New Year wishes and goodbye cheers! Those are moments I am sure that no one in M1, especially the yellow armbands will never forget.

In retrospect, I guess it was really a stupendous stroke of luck that we got the area in front of the seated gallery. That really exposed us to more, much much more than our original spot, and probably contributed much more to our combined group effort!

The group went for supper together last night at Makan Sutra after the debrief! Am really thankful that they all waited for Jelyn and I to finish the leaders debrief before starting to eat because everyone was seriously famished.

Had loads of fun talking and chatting before we all started to head home at around 1 in the morning. In short, my first serious volunteering experience has, without doubt been an eye opening experience, and there will certainly be much more to come!

*End*

So there! From the deepest valleys of my heart I want to express a sincere THANK YOU (: for having been the source of such unforgettable memories that we all shared together in 2009's Chingay Parade. It's heartwarming to see all of us transform from strangers apphrehensive to each other into people who can laugh, talk, and play together. That's the wonderful thing about friendships yeah! (:

So we have to keep our M1 spirit going! Let's look forward to the next/first M1 Outing! Details should come out pretty fast!

And everyone from M1 is welcome to blog here, add things etc, so let us all be heard! Happy Chingay again everyone! It's been a real honour to be your leader!

Love,
Gregory
